A Visual Documentation of the Embodied Experience

India... you have assaulted and pampered all of my senses.  In the distance, my senses remember you – hate you and love you.  I am awake though slowly fading.  My dreams will be different, but I accept.

Welcome to my site.  Here I attempt to share with you the embodiment of my experience  in India over a period of six weeks using photography as my medium. This site is structured in 6 sections, 5 of them relating to the physical senses (vision, sound, taste, smell and touch) and the 6th being a reflection on the emotions I have experienced throughout this journey of discovery and self-awareness.  India is truly an embodied experience that stimulates the body, mind and spirit.

Although I have captured over 3,000 images, I have selected only the photos that speak best to my experiences.  This is not a family photo album.  I will not write the exact date, location and time the photos were taken.  The objective is to illustrate what I have learnt and experienced in India using visual material and some audio.  Not dissimilar to those who write pages and pages to journal their experience.  My pen is my camera and my ink is light.
